Each year the General Services Administration’s Executive Steering Committee brings together the GSA’s law enforcement community to meet and exchange best practices and lessons learned, and to foster innovation as well as share and generate useful information across the community. The group is composed of representatives from ICE, DHS, FBI, DOJ and other law enforcement agencies throughout the country. This year was the first year the event was held in person since the onset of COVID in 2020 and Westway was invited to attend to present its SCIF as a ServiceSM model. Westway Service Group President and COO, Greg Lindsey, along with the Director of Operations and Security for our Northern Virginia offices, Norm Stachowicz, traveled to GSA headquarters in Washington D.C. to provide Westway’s corporate presentation to the group and field questions. Many in the group were not aware of Westway’s SCIF as a ServiceSM offerings. The session was productive and lead to discussions of possible SCIFs as part of mini operation centers, “hoteling” of SCIF space, benefits of a hoteling model in the future and the financial benefits of SCIF as a ServiceSM to the Federal Government. After the session in D.C., the group traveled to Westway’s Chantilly location and were given tours of the facility by Westway’s Vice President of Client Services, Donna McCarty.
Westway Services Group was honored to be invited to participate in this event and looks forward to continuing to build a relationship with the GSA and provide services throughout the Federal Government in the future.
